Thom Duell has been working at Soundtek Recording Studios for over 25 years. He has logged thousands of studio hours with all types of music and all types of musicians. He’s recorded award-winning albums with Sage, and Dazz, whose album, “Life Lessons Learned”, won the LA Music Awards and Vocalist of the Year Award. Thom was the lead singer on the critically acclaimed T Clemente’s Band’s first two albums. Over the years he’s recorded many of the Bay Area’s top corporate and club band showcase demos. The list includes The Cool Jerks, The Hit Men, The Garage Band, Tsunami, and many more. Thom recorded Dave Barrett’s “Legends of the Blues Harp of the 20th Century”, which featured Joe Fillisko and Dennis Gruenling, performing live at the Hilton Hotel in downtown San Jose. Thom can do it all, but we believe his strength is working with singers. Thom has the special gift to connect the dots with the singer and the song, to yield a passionate and emotional performance that is so essential to any song. After over 30 years behind the mic himself, initially making all the mistakes a singer can possibly make, he has learned what roads to travel when guiding vocalists and how to construct a quality, professional, emotion vocal that listeners will appreciate and tune into.
At Soundtek Studios we like to think of Don Bosco as our official ‘utility man’ because Don is quite good at everything. Don is an experienced music producer having worked extensively with orchestra and choir groups. Don is recognized as a ProTools expert and is the director of one of the most successful church music groups in the Bay Area. Don’s expertise is a valuable asset to any production.
